ABOUT US
How we like to raise our puppies:
We pride ourselves in solid ethic, transparency and excellent customer service. When we say "ethical" we mean truthful, Fair and honest. We plan litters carefully and always act in the best interest of our dogs and puppies. All of our dogs stay up to date on all routine vaccinations and parasite prevention. Annual health and joint checks. Monthly teeth, grooming, ears and nail trimming are completed on site. Our momma dogs are given a strict increasing diet of Fromm Gold kibble, probiotics and supplements as pregnancy progresses and to support her body while nursing her puppies. We are our dogs voices, and want nothing but the absolute best life for all of our dogs, and puppies.

We are a family based, licensed breeder(licensed and inspected Kennel). Every single puppy is born in our home. We use our kennel for older puppies, so they get to run and explore in a completely dog safe space.

We health and genetic test ALL of our breeding dogs. No exceptions! This includes DNA and genetic testing to ensure our dogs are all pure and genetically clear from testable conditions. We pride ourselves in producing healthy puppies. We do not test Joints and internal organs (hips, elbows, eyes etc). I feel that testing these things gives a false sense of insurance and security to dog owners. I cannot control any joint or structure once it leaves my property. Exercise, food, nutrition and injury all contribute significantly to a dogs health and the health of their joints and organs.
Our growing and evolving Puppy curriculum includes daily puppy massage and handling, ENS (early neurological stimulation) and ESI (Early scent introduction). Daily curriculum and exposure exercises, produce balanced, adaptable, confident and great temperament dogs.
We want to help develop their skills and confidence during their time here with us. Daily activities are an important part of developing well mannered, compliant and confident puppies that will thrive in many different households. Activities like; introducing water/pool, squeeky toys, ropes, chewing items as well as regular household items such as different flooring and sounds. We also introduce potty training at 3 weeks and crate introduction at 5 weeks old. These introductions help build a solid foundation for your puppy's learning and training ahead. We want to set them up for success!
We love and take pride in working directly with all of our puppy families. We want you to get to know us and us to get to know you. We want all of our customers to be able to watch their puppy grow and develop and feel comfortable asking questions at any time. We enjoy receiving updates when puppies go home. We are here whenever you need training tips, encouragement and to share in the joy your puppy brings you. We want to give you a wonderful and truly positive experience.

Our puppies are fortunate to enjoy both indoor and outdoor play spaces. They are dewormed biweekly. We have a large fenced backyard that includes a separate enclosed puppy area. We also have a small kennel building so puppies can play and explore indoors when the weather is not ideal. This keeps all puppies safe in a space that they can explore, run and play in.

At 7 weeks old we do an extensive evaluation of each puppy. This is done individually, in an unfamiliar room, with an unfamiliar human and dog. This evaluation gives us a lot of valuable information about each puppy and their personality. This is our opportunity to be the voice for our puppies. Up to this point, we know pur puppies better than anyone else! This information we pass onto every puppy family waiting to pick their puppy. Puppies are picked by each family/person in order of deposits received. This evaluation gives the puppy family a great understanding of the traits that can help them chose or understand their puppy.
Our puppies are all microchipped and genetically guaranteed for 2 years. (microchips are NOT GPS trackers. Microchips are inserted under the skin of a puppy and it is registered with the owners names and all contact information. In a case where the dog ever gets lost it can be returned to you) Each puppy we produce we are responsible for. We will troubleshoot training tips and help re-home if ever needed. We never want one of our puppies or dogs ending up in a shelter or rescue.

CKC and Kennel Licenses:
We do not have a membership with the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club). Keep in mind, a membership in the CKC (or any other club) is not any guarantee of quality, or ethics. This membership means you pay your annual dues to a club and can use the term "purebred". Any breeder that owns a CKC dog can be a member. If you want to have a dog that you can compete in shows with, you will need to have a CKC registered dog. Our focus is on healthy family household pets.
We purchase and support ethical, responsible/licensed breeders. Whether a breeder is CKC or not, we value responsible, ethical and legal/licensed breeders. Please do your research and find a breeder that is aligned with your needs and views to work with.

As for licensing....one of the only licenses available in Canada, to dog breeders, is a kennel license. (a CKC registration Is NOT the same as a license to breed) If a breeder does not have an inspection from the humane society or bylaw, they cannot be licensed. Some provinces have a smaller scale license (for home breeders) that are inspected and enforced by the local humane society. Most municipalities in Ontario are inspected and licensed through the municipality bylaw and animal control laws. Breeders have to be accountable and responsible for all the puppies and dogs we produce. From conception to the end. Breeders take back any puppy they produce so they don't end up in shelters. Please ask questions and check that the breeder is aligned with your goals. Ask questions. Adding a pet to your home should be a positive and exciting experience. We always try to be the best we can be. We will continue to raise puppies in our home and licensed kennel and do things as we always have. Responsibility, with integrity and honesty.
